Battzbaria, the Fairy Quilt Godmother of Colleen Fadool
Battzbaria
by Colleen Fadool
White Lake Michigan

Meet Battzbaria! She was a lot of fun. Couldn’t wait to finish her (so my kids got a little hungry!) She looks like she may be displeased with me for that…Hmmm. Thank you, Linda!

Applizelda, the Fairy Quilt Godmother of Carol Kettlewell
Applizelda
by Carol Kettlewell
Meadows Place, Texas

Here is my version of my Fairy Quilt Godmother. It was fun to see her take shape as I sewed. It took me a couple of days to get her all together. Her earrings are beads hanging on a piece of floss and her pin is a 2-1/2" covered button because I wanted a cat on her somewhere - I love cats and have gobs of cat fabric. I also used my bejeweler on her dress and the "necklace". We are doing it as a guild challenge and will display all of them that are made at a quilt show next year.

Whackzilla, the Fairy Quilt Godmother of Barbara Johnson

Let me introduce Whackzzilla!   I had so much fun watching her come to life!  And learned so much about paper piecing. Am now looking forward to the next project.

This lady was fun to make!! Thank you!

FatQMarie, the Fairy Quilt Godmother of Elise Dee Beraru
FatQMarie
by Elise Dee Beraru
Lynchburg, Virginia

Here is my Fairy Godmother, FatQMarie. When I finished her, she needed something, so I added the pendant and matching earrings from my button collection. Most ironic is she looks a lot like my own Grandmother, Beatrice Yager (1913-1994), before she let her hair go natural white, so I'd call her FatQBea if I could.

Shopbaria, the Fairy Quilt Godmother of Marcia Hawks
Shopbaria
by Marcia Hawks

What fun to see all the fairy godmothers appearing to their quiltdaughters.  My fairy godmother is named Shopbaria and she is a bit stern looking but she will help me to stay on track and keep on cutting, sewing and quilting!  Don't ever give up on the UFO's...there is a reason they are waiting...for inspiration. :-)
