October 2012 | I am happy to display photos of your paper-pieced projects.

We were challenged to do a self portrait for a quilt for our Guild President. The block had to be 8x10 so I reduced the size when I printed it out. That made it tricky to sew so I modified the nose and will use ink to highlight it after we quilt it and add a broach. It was fun and now I am looking forward to making a full-sized Fairy Godmother.

by Donna Kurk,
My daughter is an artist, graduated college with a BFA in 2009, but is currently working as a preschool teacher.
I made the MB60 paint palette as the center block for a round robin I am participating in at my quilt guild starting in Nov.
I am planning on giving it to her as a gift after it is returned to me with borders and I have quilted it.There are going to be 3 to 5 people in our group. Not sure how many have signed up yet. Thought I would send a pic because it makes me happy just looking at it :) Thanks for the wonderful blocks.
